Alice Cain
February 20, 1917 — June 9, 2008
Alice C. Cain, 91, of Axtell, passed away Monday, June 9, 208 at Cambridge Place in Marysville.
Alice was born February 20, 1917 at St. Bridget, the daughter of John and Mary (McQuaid) Scmidt.
Alice married Albert Cain at St. Bridget Catholic Church on June 4, 1936. He passed away October 2, 1998.
Alice was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Axtell and the ladies guild.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Albert; son, Roland; grandson Kenneth Lee; great-grandson, Dylan Bivins; and brother, Paul Schmidt.
She is survived by four sons, Kenneth of Axtell, Galen of Carbondale, CO, Ronald of Overland Park, KS, and Gary of Port Hueneme, CA; three daughters, Barbara Campbell and Bertha Ford, both of Axtell, and Bernita Engelken of Bucyrus, KS; 29 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and three step great grand children.
A rosary will be Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 7:00pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Axtell. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, at 10:30am with burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery.
