Brad Allen McIntyre passed away on March 11, 2011 at his home in Fairview, Kansas.
Brad was born on October 19, 1947 in Clarinda, Iowa to Roland and Phyllis McIntyre; the first of three children. He graduated from West Nodaway R-1 High School in Burlington Junction, Missouri in 1965. He joined the Navy after high school and served in Vietnam.
He married Bonnie Garber in July of 1968. To this union two children were born; Joann Rae McIntyre (Keim) and Edwin Allen McIntyre. They later divorced.
Brad lived most of his life in Northwest Missouri, where he farmed for many years. He was an ordained minister and served as pastor of Open Door Ministries and as pastor for TBN’s TV station in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Brad enjoyed working in the garden, mowing the yard, cooking and being around people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Phyllis McIntyre, and a grandson, Luke Allen McIntyre.
Brad is survived by his daughter, Joann Keim and husband John of Fairview, Kansas; his son, Edwin McIntyre and wife Dina of Orange, Texas; a brother, Ronald McIntyre and wife Brenda of Maryville, Missouri; a sister, Sherry Gastineau and husband Charlie of Hamilton, Missouri; five grandsons, one granddaughter, two nephews, and three nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, April 2, 2011 at the United Church of Christ in Fairview, Kansas. Inurnment will be at a later date.
