Casey Diane (Jameson) Stohs

Casey Diane (Jameson) Stohs, 38, of Sabetha, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Casey was born on November 6, 1986, in Pittsburg, Kansas to Steven and Regina (Smith) Jameson. She grew up in Ottawa, Kansas until 1997 when her family moved to Columbus, Kansas. She graduated from Columbus Unified High School in 2005. Then, she attended Pittsburg State University for one year before enlisting in the Army National Guard.

Casey served in the Army National Guard from 2006 to 2013, during which time she received her Kansas Army National Guard Commendation Medal. From January 2010 to January 2011, Casey was deployed to Afghanistan and earned several ribbons and medals for her service, including the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, NATO Afghanistan Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Forces Reserve Medal. 

After her separation from the Army National Guard in 2013, Casey began working as a recruiting manager for Keim TS in Sabetha. In 2014, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics Management from Bellevue University. Casey married Robert James Stohs on October 27, 2018, in Columbus, Kansas. Casey was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha and the Sabetha VFW Post 7285.

Casey loved spending time with her family and dedicated many hours to watching her oldest daughter, Lola, participate in wrestling, volleyball, basketball, and softball, as well as cheerleading. She was the best mom to her three children and they along with Casey’s parents, husband, siblings, church community, and Keim TS trucking family will greatly miss her presence in their lives. Casey loved her people, BIG!

Casey was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank and Frances Jameson, and her uncle, Bill Jameson.

Casey is survived by her husband, Robert Stohs, and her three children, Lola, Jameson, and Sonora of Sabetha; her parents, Steven and Regina Jameson of Columbus, Kansas; her four siblings, Erin Johnston of Altamont, Kansas, Jordan (Lucas) Epler of Columbus, Kansas, Nathaniel Jameson of Columbus, Kansas, and McKinley Jameson of Overland Park, Kansas; her maternal grandparents, Kevin and Marlene Smith of Farlington, Kansas; her aunts and uncles, Connie Jameson, Susan Jameson, Linda Jameson, Starla (Mike) Parsons, Dawn (Kurt) Haase, her six nieces; and her six nephews. 

Casey will lie in state on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sabetha. The Mass can be viewed online on the Sacred Heart Sabetha, YouTube page.  

The interment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery with full military honors. 

On Friday, January 24, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. a rosary will be prayed with the family at the St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Columbus, Kansas.
