Clifford (Cliff) William Edelman was born May 13, 1927, to Jacob and Emma (Meyer) Edelman in Sabetha, Kansas. Cliff grew up and attended country school through 8
th
grade. He had a very strong passion for farming, which was his life-long occupation. On March 2, 1958, he was united in marriage to Barbara Metzger at Sabetha. They raised their family while farming south of Bern. Cliff attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Sabetha, Kansas. In 2007, he and Barb moved to the Apostolic Christian Village apartments in Sabetha. Even after their move into town, Cliff still enjoyed going out to the farm as often as he was able. Although Cliff loved to farm, he always looked forward to visits with his family, friends, or anyone who stopped by. Cliff suffered a massive stroke while driving around his farm place last Tuesday. He passed away at the Sabetha Community Hospital on November 5, 2011, surrounded by his loving wife and many family members. Cliff lived to reach the age of 84.
Cliff is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara of Sabetha; and four children, Randy (Cindy) Edelman of Sabetha; Rodney (Joleen) Edelman of Bern; Pamela (Stan) Wulf of Morris, Minnesota; Bradley (Teresa) Edelman of Sabetha; also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; one brother, Ervan (Jude) Edelman of Mesa, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harvey and James; three sisters, Shirley, Mavis Wenger and Loree Menold and a son, Terry.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sabetha Apostolic Christian Church. Visitation will be Monday 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The interment will be made in the Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home or the Sabetha Community Hospital sent in care of the funeral home.
