D onna Mae (Spiker) Judah, 92, of Sabetha, KS passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
Donna was born in Sabetha, KS on December 1, 1925 the daughter of Sumner L. Spiker and Ada R. (Drown) Spiker. She graduated from Wetmore High School in 1942. Donna was united in marriage to Thomas Judah on October 22, 1942 in Vancouver, WA. To this union were born six children.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at various hospitals, and nursing homes. Donna was a seamstress and did alterations for Hughes Clothing. She was the Sabetha High School secretary for 29 years, retiring in 1995. She spent her retirement years traveling to watch her grandchildren’s many activities. Donna enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas on March 13, 2005; three brothers and two sisters; and a great granddaughter, Jentry Johnson.
Donna is survived by her children, Dorothea (Joe) Pinter of Topeka, KS, James (Donna) Judah of Brentwood, NH, Lynette (John) Eicher of Hiawatha, KS, Marsha (Andy) Shaw of Sabetha, KS, Cynthia (Terry) Pound of Lyons, KS, and Dawn (Randall) Gray of Lebanon, OH; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Fairview, KS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be made in the Wetmore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabetha Manor, sent in care of Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, KS 66534.
