Harry Adolph Marti was born March 9, 1922 to Louie and Martha (Sommer) Martiin Bern, Kansas, where he was raised and graduated from high school.
He served in the US Navy as a radio operator during WWII and continued this work after leaving the Navy.
He returned to the Bern area in 1960 and lived there until moving to the Apostolic Christian Home in 2003, living there until his death on September 13, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. He is survived by a brother, Merle of Sabetha; a sister, Luella Braker (Raymond) of Jasper, MO; nieces, nephews and their families.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 1:30PM at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. The body will lie in state Saturday after 11:30AM, and the family will receive friends after 12:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Apostolic Christian Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
