John Irvin Carlson, 90, of Sabetha, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.
John was born on October 21, 1934, to John and Ruby (Moore) Carlson of Salem, Nebraska. John served in the Kansas Army National Guard for 17 years. John worked at Wenger Manufacturing in Sabetha and drove a semi-truck for several local trucking organizations.
John’s true passion was fishing and in his spare time, he could usually be found at the Sabetha Lake, casting his line and trying his luck.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Carlson; his siblings, Delmar Carlson and Lois Fisher; his three sons, James, Robert, and Roger; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth, and Adam.
John is survived by his three children, Mike (Cindy) Carlson of Holton, Kansas, Shawn Carlson, and Connie Carlson, both of Topeka, Kansas; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Rosalie Wells of Mississippi.
