Kenneth Meisner

November 14, 1923 — October 25, 2008

Kenneth M. Meisner, 84, of Sabetha, passed away October 25, 2008 at the Sabetha Manor. Kenny was born November 14, 1923 in rural Sabetha, the son of Herman and Helen (Maynard) Meisner. He attended Summit Rural School and graduated from Oneida High School. After high school Kenny began his farming career which he enjoyed doing for over 60 years. He also enjoyed playing on local baseball teams and bowling leagues throughout his life. Kenny was an active member of the Lions Club in Sabetha for many years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by both his parents; a brother, Harry Meisner; and two sisters, Elizabeth Meisner and Maxine Evans. Survivors include his brother, Charles Meisner of the home; an aunt, Doris McKune in California; nephews, Bob Evans and his wife Janie of Bern, Tom Evans of Sabetha, David Evans of Hiawatha; a niece, Annette Pastory of Scottsdale, Arizona; a cousin, Jim Bolejack and his wife Julie of Ankeny, Iowa.


Funeral services will be held October 28, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary Chapel in Sabetha. A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabetha Community Hospital or to the Nemaha County Home Heath and Hospice, sent in care of the funeral home.
