Lucille Darrah

Lucille Irene Darrah, 86 of Axtell, Kansas passed away January 11, 2009 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Kansas.
She was born November 17, 1922 in Emporia, Kansas to Ivan and Lucy Grimmett of Americus Kansas.
She loved to read, croquet, quilt and most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother, Clayton, (Barbara) Grimmett of Stafford, Kansas; Children, Carolyn Kay (Barry) Hoffman of Las Vegas, Nevada; Leigh Anna (David) Lavers of Texas; Mary Jane (Jerry) Mock of Henderson, Nevada; Randy Lee Darrah of Arizona; and John Clayton Darrah of Axtell, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephew and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clark P. Darrah; and sister Leona McCoy.
There was a visitation all afternoon Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Landreth-Popkess Funeral for family and friends to pay their respects. Following the visitation Mrs. Darrah was cremated. There will be a memorial service in Las Vegas at a later date with entombment at the Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Memorials are being left to the St. Judes Ranch for Children in Boulder City, NV. And may be sent in care of the Landreth-Popkess Funeral Home in Axtell, KS
