M ary Ann Carlson, 70, of Sabetha died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Sabetha Manor. She was born on August 17, 1943 the daughter of Arthur E. Klein and Lillian M. (Jancik) Klein in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She grew up in the Pawnee City area. She attended Nebraska School of the Deaf in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated in 1962. She was united in marriage to Delmar Carlson in June of 1967 at Burchard, Nebraska. One son was born to this union. They moved to Sabetha and she worked for Fountain Villa Nursing Home as a nurses aide.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmar Carlson in March of 1971. She is survived by a son, Lee Carlson of Topeka; one brother, David Klein and his wife, Janet of Guthrie, Oklahoma; one nephew, Steven Klein.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sabetha Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sabetha Police Department sent in care of the Popkess Mortuary, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, Kansas.
