R onald Lee Hastings, 56, of Bern, Kansas died Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
Ron was born December 14, 1956 in Auburn, Washington, the son of Richard and Ruth (Crandell) Hastings. He was united in marriage to Dema Ralston on March 10, 1998.
Ronald was predeceased by his father, Richard Hastings; an infant son, Daniel Hastings; and three infant brothers. Survivors include his wife, Dema Hastings of Bern, KS; two daughters, Marcie Klatik (Jason) of Lakewood, WA and Stephanie Hastings of Azle, TX; a stepson, Justin Zimmerschied (Emma) of Bern, KS; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Mulkey (Jeremy) of Newton, TX; a brother, Terry Hastings of Enumclaw, WA; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. The family will greet friends from 9:30 until service time on Saturday.
